PHOENIX (AP) – The cost of a Thanksgiving dinner in Arizona this year is 3.5 percent higher than in 2014.
Arizona Farm Bureau officials say a turkey dinner with all the trimmings will cost $47.83 for a family of 10, or $4.78 per person.
That’s an increase of $1.67 over last year’s Thanksgiving meal that cost $46.16.
Without factoring in store coupons or specials, the cost of a 16-pound turkey purchased in Arizona this year is $19.20 or $1.20 per pound.
That’s a decrease of 2 cents per pound, or 32 cents less for a 16-pound turkey compared to 2014.
The Farm Bureau also conducted an organic price survey on the same basic food items found on the Thanksgiving dinner table. The organic dinner with all the trimmings will cost $98.03 this year.
